About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Construction Litigation Solicitor to join our expanding Infrastructure, Construction and Energy Disputes team in Australia.

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven candidate to quickly gain experience and take on responsibility. While primarily intended to support the growing Australian based ICE Disputes team, there will also be opportunities to work closely with partners and other colleagues across the broader team.

  1. Supporting partners and other members of the ICE Disputes team by providing a first-class professional service;
  2. Working on construction and engineering disputes in adjudication, arbitration, and litigation;
  3. Actively involved in the team's business development initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Admission as a solicitor in an Australian jurisdiction and 2-4 years of post-admission experience in a leading law firm;
  • Solid experience, or a proven interest, in contentious construction disputes work;
  • Experience of acting in adjudications, litigation, and arbitrations;
  • Skill in project management and up-to-date knowledge of law tech and its applications;
  • Ability to work hard, enjoy challenges, and be happy to work as part of the team to meet deadlines;
  • Good organisational and proactive skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Willingness to attend business development events and take the initiative.
