Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Psychologist or Social Worker to join our team as a Contractor for our Employee Assistance Program (EAP). As an EAP Counsellor Contractor, you will provide short-term interventions for our clients' staff accessing our EAP services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide short-term interventions for clients accessing our EAP services
- Identify presenting problems, gain agreement with clients on treatment goals, and provide evidence-based interventions
- Manage risk appropriately and refer clients to relevant services when necessary
- Comply with all Workplace Health and Safety procedures and ensure team members adhere to relevant health and safety protocols
- Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviors and reporting accidents, incidents, or near misses immediately
Requirements
- Psychologist with current General Registration status with AHPRA or Social Worker with current full membership with the AASW
- Skilled in short-term evidence-based interventions for psychosocial issues in an EAP context
- Current Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Current Public Liability Insurance (minimum $20 million)
- Willing to obtain a new National Police Check clearance
- Social Workers - hold or willing to obtain a Blue Card
- Commitment to child safety and wellbeing, with an understanding of children's developmental needs and culturally safe practices
