About the Role

The Australian Government Department of Defence is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our team. This role will play a key part in ensuring the delivery of Defence ICT Systems and implementing adequate security controls to defend against evolving threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the ongoing assessment processes to maintain Defence's capability in assessing cyber security posture and quantifying cyber risk.
  • Engage with government organisations, industry partners, and other stakeholders to build strong relationships and drive effective collaboration.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities and build resiliency.
  • Evaluate technical design documentation and identify appropriate cyber risks to recommend effective controls.
Requirements
  • Cyber Security Risk and Compliance practitioner with experience providing cyber risk assessment services.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to read system architecture diagrams.
  • Proven leadership experience of multi-disciplinary teams and ability to drive effective collaboration.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work in a high tempo environment.
