Job Title: Research Support Specialist

Job Overview

This is a key role in supporting research excellence at the University through the delivery and improvement of research ethics, compliance, and integrity systems and processes.

The successful candidate will play a vital part in enhancing the efficiency, quality, and compliance of research activities across the University.

  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and interpret complex rules, policies, and procedures, and to analyze information and workflows to identify and implement business process and system improvements that enhance administrative efficiency and service quality.
  • High-level computing skills and competence in standard office software and information management systems, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing digital and operational environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise correspondence and briefing papers for internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including academic, professional, and external partners, to support service delivery and project success.
  • Contribute to the delivery of projects and operational objectives, working effectively both independently and as part of a high-functioning team to achieve planned outcomes.
Key Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess initiative, exercise sound judgment, and manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines in a high-pressure environment.

Qualifications include a degree with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
