About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Trade Assistant to join our team in Newcastle, NSW. This part-time role will provide an exciting opportunity for someone with trade experience to work alongside qualified electricians and solar technicians on residential and commercial solar power systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist experienced tradespeople with the installation and maintenance of solar power systems
- Install solar panels, inverters, and other electrical components
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on solar power systems
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest standard
- Keep accurate records and documentation of all work carried out
- Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional customer service

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a trade assistant or in a similar role
- Strong practical and problem-solving skills
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and develop your skills
- White Card preferred
- Basic hand tools required
- Working at Heights Ticket (WAH) preferred
- Construction and trade assistant experience
- Vehicle and Driver's Licence preferred
- Ability to lift heavy items
