About the Role:

Reporting into the Head of Information Security, the Security Architect will lead technical guidance and leadership to both IT and OT in the areas of cyber security, system security and secure by design development for a range of initiatives across the organization. Responsibilities include:

  • Play a key role in ensuring the implementation of secure architecture designs, including the application of all required security controls
  • Strengthen the business case review process to ensure conformance to a secure architecture design
  • Lead evaluation teams comprising of both internal and external consultants to identify the appropriate technologies to ensure successful migration to the Cloud
  • Develop security baseline requirements and adapt requirements as new technologies and solutions emerge
  • Lead architecture security reviews and endorse compliant proposed solutions
  • Ensure new/emerging security technologies can be leveraged for adoption

About You:

To be successful in the role, you'll have architecture or security engineering experience in a similar complex corporate environment. You will also have some of the following:

  • A recognized university degree in Computer science, Information Technology or equivalent
  • Significant experience with solution and security architecture
  • Experience evaluating security vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies for networking systems
  • Experience supporting and executing cyber and risk management framework requirements
  • Practical experience in cloud security architecture design for IaaS platforms
  • Threat modelling and control selection
  • Desired Qualifications:
    • Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture (SABSA)
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
    • Technical certifications (e.g., CCNP, ITIL)
