Lead Operations Manager

This is a key leadership position that oversees all hotel operations overnight. The primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of guests and colleagues, while also ensuring timely completion of the night audit function.

About the Role

As Lead Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all hotel operations overnight. This includes training colleagues in quality standards, ensuring they have necessary tools and equipment to perform their roles, and maintaining managers and frontline colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee all hotel operations overnight
  • Train colleagues in quality standards, ensuring they have necessary tools and equipment to perform their roles
  • Lead by example by consistently upholding brand standards in daily operations
  • Ensure guests receive prompt professional service, personal recognition, and seamless front and back of house experience throughout their stay
  • Support Front Office staff in providing guests with prompt service, professional attention, and personal recognition
  • Be prepared to respond to emergency situations promptly and calmly
  • Ensure all credit transactions are handled securely, maintain cashiers float, and prepare accurate daily reports
  • Oversee night audit function and preparation of financial reports, working closely with the finance team
  • Adhere to local regulations concerning health and safety requirements, as well as brand standards and policies
  • Demonstrate One Step Ahead Service Behaviours: Create confidence, Encourage success, and Make it happen; align with True Hospitality service skills expectations
  • Champion IHG Rewards Club, ensuring team compliance with training and delivery of standards
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher education qualification in Hotel Administration or Business Administration
  • Four years of guest service/hotel experience with two years in management capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must speak local language
  • Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol and First Aid Certificate required
