Pymble Ladies' College is seeking a skilled accompanist to provide musical support for various events and performances. The ideal candidate will possess excellent piano skills, outstanding sight-reading ability, and a deep understanding of music theory.

This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with the choir, band, and string conductors to deliver seamless performances. Additionally, you will have the chance to develop your skills in preparing students for recitals, assessments, and competitions.

The successful candidate will be a team player who is well organised, creative, and innovative. You will also have the ability to work with advanced pianists and teach the art of accompanying when required.

About the Role

  • Provide piano accompaniment at rehearsals, auditions, assemblies, and concert performances
  • Work with the choir, band, and string conductors to ensure seamless performances
  • Prepare students for recitals, assessments, and competitions
  • Develop and maintain a high level of musicianship and technical proficiency

Requirements

  • Accomplished pianist with an advanced level of skill
  • Outstanding sight-reading ability
  • Bachelor of Music (Piano Performance/Accompanying), Post Graduate degree highly desirable
  • Teaching qualifications desirable, not essential
