As a Senior Ecologist at Umwelt, you will be part of our national biodiversity team, renowned for its technical expertise and robust biodiversity assessments. You will contribute to our reputation for ecological projects across South Australia and grow our service capacity in this area.
About the OpportunityWe are seeking a Senior Ecologist with diverse experience in field work, assessments, legislative awareness, and solid reporting and project management skills. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Senior Ecologist, sound ecological survey, reporting, and assessment skills, and a passion for field work and delivering high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct terrestrial flora and/or fauna surveys, including planning and coordinating field teams
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and team members
- Collect and interpret ecological and spatial data, and prepare and review reports
- Project manage medium and large-scale development and/or biodiversity projects
- A role working alongside experienced professionals who can support your growth and development
