The successful applicant will work closely with our management team, staff, and external partners to develop and implement initiatives that enhance the TMAG experience and promote Tasmania as a premier tourist destination.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to visitors, including responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a consistent and first-rate experience.">
  • Assisting with the delivery of public programs and events, including tours, exhibitions, and activities.">
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of public areas, exhibits, and shop spaces.">
  • Supporting the retail operations in the TMAG shop, including processing sales and assisting with visual merchandising.">
  • Contributing to the development of new initiatives and projects that enhance the TMAG experience and promote Tasmania's arts and cultural sector.">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.">
  • Current First Aid qualification or ability to obtain within 3 months.">
  • Valid driver's license with ability to operate manual vehicles.">

Working Arrangements

This is a fixed-term part-time position, working up to 12 months. The successful applicant will be required to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $60,000-$70,000, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including access to professional development opportunities, a generous leave entitlement, and a supportive work environment.
