We are seeking a skilled Early Childhood Professional to join our community-based team. As an Early Parenting Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting infants, young children and their families to achieve optimal safety, connection, development and wellbeing goals.

You will work in partnership with families to identify key strengths and challenges, setting goals and providing intensive teaching, modelling, encouragement, and support to enhance parenting skills and improve outcomes for families.

You will also assist with referral and liaison to other professionals and agencies where appropriate.

This is a unique opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team working in alignment with our Model of Care, Clinical Practice Framework and the Victorian Government Best Interests Case Practice Model.

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A qualification at Diploma level or higher in either Community Services, Early Childhood, Social Work, Enrolled Nurse or similar
  • Experience working with families in the health/welfare sector ideally within the early parenting period
  • Highly developed skills and experience in risk assessments and management
  • Sound understanding of child development and the factors that can impede a child's development
