We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team at Four Seasons Sunrooms. As a Red Seal Ticketed Carpenter, you will be responsible for installing sunrooms, solariums, patio covers, and other residential construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Construction: Install sunrooms, solariums, patio covers, and other residential construction projects.
- Glass Glazing: Install glass glazing to walls and roof systems.
- Carpentry Work: Install doors, windows, hardware, and locks.
- Blueprint Adherence: Follow blueprints, building plans, and engineering specifications.
- City Inspections: Adhere to city inspections and regulations.
- Material Handling: Measure, cut, and install wood and aluminum materials.
- Framework Construction: Construct building frameworks, including footings, support beams, floor joists, door frames, and more.
- Inspection and Repair: Inspect and replace damaged frameworks or structures.
- Team Leadership: Instruct and direct a team of labourers, apprentice/assistant carpenters, or other trade helpers.
- Training and Assistance: Provide training and assistance to carpenter apprentices and assistants.
- Work Order Completion: Complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Verbal Recommendations: Provide verbal recommendations.
- Safety Protocols: Perform all work duties in a safe manner and follow safety procedures/protocols.
- Project Management: Perform duties assigned by the General Manager or Project Manager.
- Efficiency and Accuracy: Complete all work in a timely manner with efficiency and accuracy.
- Communication: Provide daily updates and communication to the General Manager/Project Manager.
- Buildertrend: Use Buildertrend effectively for communication, job specifics, and time clock management.
- Red Seal Carpentry Ticket: Possess a valid Red Seal Carpentry ticket.
- Experience: Have experience in carpentry and/or glass glazing.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Prioritization: Demonstrate ability to set priorities.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, particularly in leadership roles.
- Reliability: Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Weather Conditions: Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Cell Phone: Possess a cell phone for communications and Buildertrend.
- Buildertrend: Be capable and willing to use and learn Buildertrend effectively.
