Groundwater Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydrogeologist to join our team in Victoria, Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead and support hydrogeological investigations and assessments across various sectors.

• Job Description:
• Lead and support hydrogeological investigations and assessments in municipal and commercial scale water supply, mining, infrastructure, and environmental sectors.
• Design and manage field programs including bore design, installation, aquifer testing, groundwater monitoring, and sampling.
• Develop and refine conceptual hydrogeological models and support numerical modelling efforts.
• Provide technical advice on groundwater resource planning, impact assessments, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, budgets, and work programs.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing and capability development.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to build strong relationships and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Hydrogeology or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in hydrogeological consulting or applied groundwater science.
• Strong technical skills in groundwater investigations, conceptualisation, and impact assessment.
• Experience with Victoria's groundwater framework, regulations, and policy is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in data analytics, particularly through coding and spatial analytics through GIS, to support/inform hydrogeological modelling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience in managing projects and project teams effectively.
• A collaborative mindset and a passion for mentoring and team development.
