About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at Job2Go Pty Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Develop and implement efficient transportation schedules, receive bookings, and oversee the planning and implementation process.
  • Fleet Management: Monitor and maintain the condition of our vehicles, including pollution records, maintenance records, and road tax compliance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements related to transportation activities, including governance and corporate compliance procedures.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized records of vehicles, schedules, and completed orders.
  • Financial Management: Prepare management recommendations for fee increases, tariff changes, and schedule modifications.
  • Insurance and Registration: Pay insurance and registration fees for our vehicles on time.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Report and address maintenance and repair needs for our transportation vehicles and equipment.
  • Driver Management: Verify driver license documentation and maintain accurate records.
  • Staff Supervision: Direct the activities of staff in relation to transportation operations, including dispatching, routing, and tracking.
  • Purchasing and Maintenance: Purchase fuel and arrange for the purchase and maintenance of necessary equipment.
  • Negotiations: Negotiate with carriers and insurance company representatives for services and preferential rates.
  • Tracking and Payment: Track the positions of our trucks and drivers, and ensure timely payment.
  • Policy Development: Create and communicate transportation policies and procedures.
  • OHS Compliance: Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Customer Service: Coordinate associate interactions with truck arrivals and departures.
  • Investigations: Conduct investigations to verify and resolve customer complaints.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in a relevant field. Alternatively, at least three years of relevant experience may substitute formal qualifications.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of experience as a Transport Company Manager is required.
Salary and Benefits
