Job Summary

SA Health is seeking a skilled Sterilising Technician to join our team at Gawler Health Service. As a key member of our perioperative services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective delivery of sterilisation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process surgical instruments according to AS/NZS 4187 standards
  • Determine and appraise methods of work organisation to maintain recording systems and ensure optimum standards of sterilisation and stock supply
  • Assist with collecting, identifying and separating surgical equipment for processing, and cleaning equipment according to documented specifications
  • Comply with occupational health and safety requirements and infection control principles
Requirements
  • AQF Certificate III in Sterilising Technology
  • Demonstrated experience in a perioperative and CSSD department
  • Sound knowledge of a range of instruments, sterilising methods and infection control principles
  • Ability to meet deadlines and organise workloads effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
