Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Meat Department Assistant Manager to join our team at our Pumicestone Road store in Caboolture. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for assisting the management of the meat department, creating rosters, generating orders, completing stock takes, and much more.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Meat Manager in leading a small team of butchers and sales assistants;
- Creating and managing rosters to ensure adequate staffing levels;
- Generating orders and controlling costs to maximize profitability;
- Completing stock takes and maintaining accurate inventory records;
- Providing exceptional customer service and resolving any issues that may arise.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Australian trade qualification in Butchery;
- Excellent leadership and management skills;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Able to lead and motivate a team;
- Ability to order and control costs;
- An understanding of gross profit calculations;
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
