Senior Medical Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Practitioner to join our team at Metropolitan Remand Centre in Melbourne.

As a Senior Medical Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing and supervising medical care to prisoners, delivering and evaluating medical programs and services, and coordinating hours of service and on-call responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience, a Fellowship of the FRACGP, and documentary evidence of medical indemnity insurance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality medical care to prisoners
  • Supervising and evaluating medical programs and services
  • Coordinating hours of service and on-call responsibilities
  • Working effectively in a team
  • Providing high-quality care and demonstrating competence

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $360,500 and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Additionally, you will have access to our confidential Employee Assistance Program and Fitness Passport.
