About the Role

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a key role in driving our engineering roadmap forward. Your primary focus will be to deeply understand the business, the product, and the people behind it.

Your responsibilities will include breaking down complex features into manageable components, designing the architecture, building the frontend and backend, and deploying your work independently.

You will be responsible for making critical technical and business decisions, analysing performance, scalability, UX, and business value, and articulating trade-offs to the team.

In addition, you will design and implement core systems, build robust GraphQL APIs, and implement critical subsystems.

With a high level of independence and ownership, you will be trusted to lead initiatives and deliver features that directly impact our roadmap and user experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A proven track record of leading feature development from initial problem definition to final deployment.
  • Significant experience with React.js, TypeScript, and other web tools necessary for Front-End development, including GraphQL APIs and styling systems.
  • Proficiency in multiple backend languages and frameworks, with a strong understanding of functional programming concepts and real-world experience in Elixir or Erlang for a web back-end.
  • Advanced proficiency with a relational database like PostgreSQL, including experience with schema design, performance tuning, and writing complex, efficient queries directly in SQL without relying on an ORM.
  • A history of thriving in fast-paced startup environments, demonstrating an ability to deliver practical solutions under tight deadlines.
  • A deep curiosity for how things work, not just what they do, with a passion for building, tinkering, and learning, both in and out of the office.
