About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at ING Bank (Australia) Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll play a vital role in shaping our data platform and driving business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of data platforms, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver end-to-end data solutions, leveraging your expertise in data warehousing and data governance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Design and develop ETL processes using Informatica, adhering to our data model standards and ensuring seamless integration with our data platforms.
  • Manage dependencies and impediments, ensuring our squads operate optimally and delivering projects on time.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in data warehousing and data platform management, with a strong track record of delivering large-scale projects.
  • Expertise in Informatica Powercenter and database management, with a solid understanding of data governance concepts.
  • Strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Self-motivated and focused, with a passion for innovation and excellence.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
