Key Responsibilities- Review and Enhance Security Measures: Conduct thorough reviews of our current system security measures and recommend enhancements to ensure the highest level of security.
- Collaborate with Architecture Team: Work closely with the architecture team to ensure security requirements are accounted for at design time, ensuring seamless integration of security protocols.
- Produce Security Documentation: Develop and maintain required security documentation and patterns, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with all project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Feature Definition and User Story Decomposition: Assist in the definition of features and user story decomposition, ensuring security implications are considered.
- Security Implications and Risks: Convey to stakeholders the security implications and inherent risks of various designs, ensuring informed decision-making.
- Conduit between Teams: Act as the conduit between security architecture, risk, and project teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Consult and Suggest Improvements: Consult and suggest improvements to documented control patterns, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in cyber and security architecture roles, with at least 2 years in a security architecture or similar position.
- Desirable Skills: Experience in retail or transformation transition, understanding of fundamental security concepts, such as securing operating systems, virtualization, and containers, securing public cloud and related DevOps automation, identity and access management, security protocols, and secure configuration.
- Security Best Practices: A firm grasp on security best practices and the ability to guide development teams and external vendors.
- IT Risk Management: An understanding of IT risk management processes and the ability to rate risks based on actual business impacts.
- Current IT Risks: Good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing security solutions.
- Communication Skills: Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures.
- Assessment Skills: Ability to conduct a range of assessments, including Gap and Risk Assessments, on a wide variety of projects.
- Self-Motivation: Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities and tasks concurrently.
