Sales Growth Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Growth Specialist to join our team at AkzoNobel in Australia and New Zealand. As a key member of our Business Development and Sales teams, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and market penetration within the powder coating industry.
Sales Strategy and Execution
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase market share and achieve national sales targets.
- Analyse market trends and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities and optimise sales approaches.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts with key prospects and customers.
- Monitor competitive pricing and provide feedback to the marketing team.
- Create and execute sales implementation plans, including customer training and activity plans.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers within the powder coating market.
- Gather market intelligence to identify potential new customers and increase market share.
- Provide exceptional customer service and address customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Promote the positive company image and foster long-term relationships with assigned accounts.
Sales Performance and Reporting:
- Achieve sales volume, value, and gross margin budget targets.
- Recommend credit limits for accounts and ensure compliance with AkzoNobel's business practices.
- Track and analyse key performance indicators to measure sales effectiveness.
- Provide regular sales reports and updates to the Business Development and Specifications Manager.
- Participate in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) audits and WISE group meetings.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the coatings or related industry.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems, MS Office and computer technology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a valid Driver's Licence.
