We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Pharmacy Technician at our hospital. This is a part-time permanent position that plays a crucial role in supporting the delivery of quality pharmacy services to patients.

About the Role

This role involves assisting with dispensing, manufacturing, clinical trial preparation, and procurement of medicines. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for distributing and managing medicines, processing prescriptions, preparing medications for dispensing, and supporting the provision of clinical pharmacy services.

  • Distribution and management of medicines;
  • Assisting with dispensing, including processing prescriptions and preparing medications for dispensing;
  • Supporting the provision of clinical pharmacy services, including patient counseling and medication therapy management;
  • Manufacturing (sterile and non-sterile) of pharmaceutical products;
  • Clinical trial preparation, including the packaging and labeling of clinical trial materials;
  • Procurement of medicines, including ordering and receiving stock.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Certificate III in Hospital-Health Services Pharmacy Support or equivalent qualification;
  • Experience working in an Australian pharmacy setting, preferably in a hospital pharmacy environment;
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills;
  • Well-developed computer literacy skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
