As a retail leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a busy supermarket and tobacconist. This involves ensuring a smooth service delivery experience for customers while maintaining compliance with relevant retail and tobacco licensing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate the management of daily store operations to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Supervise and train a team of staff to deliver exceptional customer service and uphold store standards.
  • Analyze financial performance data to inform sales reporting, cost management, and budget planning.
  • Design and execute local marketing and promotional initiatives to drive customer engagement and repeat business.
  • Ensure accurate point-of-sale operations and adherence to cash handling and reporting procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, store presentation, and workplace safety.

About You:

  • A diploma in business, retail management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a retail supervisory or management role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of stock control, loss prevention, and compliance requirements (tobacco retail experience desirable but not essential).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale systems, Microsoft Office, and retail reporting software.
  • An organized, proactive, and customer-focused individual with excellent problem-solving skills.
