Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Job Description

The Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to lead the testing strategy for our AI-powered software. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality of our self-service identity tool.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an effective testing strategy to guarantee high-quality software
  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure the security, reliability, and performance of the self-service identity tool
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve technical issues promptly
  • Develop and maintain automated tests for web applications

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in software testing, preferably with web applications
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent work experience
  • Strong programming skills and knowledge of testing frameworks
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Familiarity with various testing types, including unit, integration, system, functional, non-functional, and performance testing
Desirable Skills

The following skills would be advantageous:

  • Ability to think creatively and take initiative to improve testing and product quality
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Familiarity with testing tools like Selenium, Vulcan, or SpecFlow
