Facilities Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a positive experience for our guests.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Vacuum floors, hallways, and clean restrooms and all public areas.
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, vacuum, and polish floors.
  • Collect soiled linen and restock linen supplies on the floors and strip rooms if required.
  • Assist in keeping the lobby area clean, neat, and free of debris.
  • Remove rubbish as needed.
  • Maintain housekeeping carts, guest amenities, and stock supplies to par levels.
  • Help room attendants with heavy lifting and special cleaning tasks.
  • Report maintenance requirements and any lost property following hotel procedures.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained, used, and stored correctly.
  • Use correct chemicals for cleaning purposes using safe work practices.
  • Ensure all WH&S policies and procedures are followed.

Requirements:

  • Previous work experience in a similar position (advantageous).
  • A strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • The ability to act consistently with clear ethics and values in accordance with confidentiality.
  • Superior customer service skills along with the capability of working both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • The ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of five-star grooming standards.
  • The flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
