We are seeking detail-oriented and motivated technical accounting professionals to join our innovative team supporting a Federal Government client. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects influencing financial reporting standards in the public sector.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Supporting the development of Service Performance Reporting principles and climate-related disclosures for the Australian public sector.
  • Identifying necessary adaptations for international standards within the Australian context.
  • Analysing stakeholder feedback and drafting staff papers on modifications to existing standards like AASB 1059 and AASB 18.
  • Contributing to benchmarking exercises and preparing educational materials on financial reporting standards.

**Ideal Candidate Requirements:**

  • Manager level or equivalent with relevant experience in the not-for-profit or Government sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Australian NFP sector, including Australian Accounting Standards applied by NFP entities.
  • Subject matter expert at explaining differences between IPSASB pronouncements and IFRS Accounting Standards.
  • Subject matter expert at applying TCFD in the public sector.
  • Subject matter expert at applying AASB 1059.
  • Preparation or auditing of financial statements, budget papers, outcomes reporting, and Uniform Presentation Framework.
  • Preparation or auditing of financial statements of various NFP entities.
