Director of Aboriginal Engagement and Student Support

This critical position involves statewide planning, development, and leadership in engagement and stakeholder relations, education, partnerships, and programs to implement TAFE NSW training solutions that address the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners, communities, and social requirements.
Key responsibilities include overseeing external stakeholder relationships across regional networks, industry, government agencies, and the university sector to foster collaborative partnerships and initiatives, providing meaningful services to support individuals in reaching their potential and maintaining student engagement in the learning process.
Key Requirements
- Strong leadership skills and ability to build a cohesive and high-performing team aligning to TAFE NSW's core values of integrity, collaboration, excellence, and a customer-first attitude.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Profound understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, cultures, and educational needs, combined with strong connections and insights from living, working, and serving in diverse communities.
