We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our client's team, a successful tier 3 builder with a strong presence in the Education and local government sectors. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in creating detailed tenders for Government clients, utilizing your expertise in cost analysis, risk management, and tender writing.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates for projects valued up to $15M
- Review and analyze drawings and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Attend interviews and represent the business during the procurement process, building strong relationships with clients and subcontractors
- Conduct cost analysis and risk management throughout the project lifecycle
- Liaise with contractors to negotiate best prices and assess variations and claims
- Provide project cost analysis and recommendations to stakeholders
- Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
- Minimum 2 years of local experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor
- Proven track record of working on Government tenders and with tier 3 builders
- Highly computer literate, with experience in Buildsoft and other construction software
- Process-driven approach to work, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
