Private Client Lawyer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Client Lawyer to advise on wealth structuring and estate planning matters for high net worth individuals, trustees, beneficiaries, family offices, executors, wealth managers, institutional clients, and onshore legal teams in the Cayman Islands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on wealth structuring and estate planning for high net worth clients.
  • Administer, restructure, and terminate trusts as required.
  • Handle probate matters and related applications efficiently.
  • Act on contentious trust disputes, estate litigation, and cross-border private client matters with expertise.
  • Collaborate closely with trustees, beneficiaries, family offices, executors, wealth managers, and onshore legal teams to deliver seamless results.
Qualifications and Skills Required
  • A minimum of 4-8 years of Post Qualification Experience (PQE) in private client law or a closely related field is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in trusts and estates, including administration, restructuring, termination, probate, and disputes is crucial.
  • Strong interpersonal and client-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with high net worth individuals and institutional clients.
  • The ability to operate in a cross-border private client environment and work collaboratively with onshore teams is vital.
