Key Details- Location: Perth
- Duration: initial 12 month contract
- Reporting to: Civil Department Manager
The Senior Project Engineer - Civil will join a large multidisciplinary project team based in Perth, CBD. You will work on a variety of study projects for a tier 1 mining client with scopes ranging from earthworks to mine closure.
- Contribute to the delivery of study projects with project scopes ranging from earthworks to mine closure.
- Provide design coordination, stakeholder management, and assist in the management of geotechnical site investigations.
- Monitor progress and performance against the project plan and when required, take action to resolve problems and minimise risks and delays.
- Monitor and control cost performance against the plan, and develop and implement project controls and specifications, schedules and cost estimates.
- Ensure work undertaken complies with the scope and meets quality and operational requirements.
- Interface with the client and cultivate positive relations to achieve effective communication and collaboration across teams.
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering.
- 8+ years of professional experience in project engineering and project management.
- Experienced Senior Civil Project Engineer with demonstrated experience working on civil and mining earthworks projects.
- Demonstrated experience in working on engineering projects within the mining industry.
- Previous experience interfacing with clients and strong stakeholder management skills.
- Proven project management skills and demonstrated ability to deliver work within agreed budget, timeframe and customer requirements.
- Strong communication skills
- Experience from EPCM Environment ideal
