Inventory Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Management Specialist to oversee the optimization of our stock levels across a national distribution network.

This is a vital role with a significant impact on our supply chain operations, and we are looking for someone who can make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste
  • Manage local and international purchase orders with accuracy and timeliness, ensuring seamless execution of our supply chain plans
  • Coordinate overseas shipments, landed cost calculations, and container receipting to maximize efficiency and reduce costs
  • Monitor inventory health and execute stock transfers across warehouses, maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Provide regular supply insights and support data-driven decision-making through business intelligence tools
  • Collaborate with suppliers, freight partners, warehouses, and internal teams to drive mutual understanding and improve processes
  • Identify excess or obsolete stock and develop strategies for its disposal or repurposing

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, or supply chain roles
  • A proven track record of optimizing inventory levels while meeting performance metrics and KPIs
  • Strong ERP and planning system experience, with proficiency in Sage and Netstock highly desirable
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and strong commercial awareness
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills, with ability to collaborate across functions
  • An analytical mindset with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
