We are seeking an experienced truck driver with a medium rigid, heavy rigid or heavy combination license to transport goods and materials via road to and from our warehouse to retail outlets and distribution centers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on contributing to our vision of being fast, flexible and frequent, with excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key responsibilities include planning routes to meet delivery schedules in the most efficient and effective way, proactively inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, and ensuring compliance with work health and safety laws, regulations and codes of conduct.
Additional requirements include being able to drive long hours, having knowledge of the Sydney metro area and being adaptable and foresightful to manage unexpected situations such as traffic and weather conditions.
Qualifications and Experience- Hold a valid Medium Rigid (MR), Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) License;
- Have a minimum of 2 years experience driving a heavy vehicle with a good safe driving record;
- Knowledge of the Sydney metro area;
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly;
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving and road rules and regulations;
