Asphalt Technician

We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Technician to join our team in Canberra. This is an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate to work on road network solutions utilizing industry-leading research, development and innovation.

The successful candidate will be working closely with local government councils and authorities to meet the needs of customers and ever-changing markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Laying Asphalt:
    • Rake and spread hot asphalt evenly after it is poured from the truck or paving machine.
    • Assist the paving machine operator.
    • Ensure edges, joins, and corners are neat and smooth.
  • Compaction Work:
    • Operate or assist with plate compactors, rollers, or hand tampers to compress the asphalt.
    • Eliminate air pockets or weak spots to ensure a smooth and durable surface.
Requirements
  • Asbestos awareness.
  • Driver's License.
  • Experience in Asphalt.
  • Operating experience.
