The Job Description

We're on the hunt for an Environmental Consultant who's ready to roll up their sleeves and deliver contaminated land assessments that make a difference. You'll work closely with technical leads, regulators, and auditors to assess risk, manage sites, and influence major redevelopment projects across QLD and beyond.

You'll Be Doing Things Like:

  • Conducting preliminary and detailed site investigations (PSIs, DSIs)

  • Designing and interpreting sampling, analysis, and risk-based site assessments

  • Preparing remediation action plans and site management strategies

  • Developing Conceptual Site Models (CSMs) that hold water

  • Writing reports that are clear, sharp, and regulator-ready

  • Collaborating with clients, auditors, labs, and field teams

  • Guiding junior staff and contributing to a strong team culture

The Essential Skills
  • A degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field

  • 3–6 years of experience in contaminated land consulting

  • A solid grasp of NEPM and relevant QLD guidelines (ESR, DES, CRC CARE)

  • Fieldwork confidence and technical writing skills

  • Strong client communication skills and commercial awareness

  • An analytical mind and practical, solutions-focused approach
