About the Role:

This is a key position within our organisation, playing a crucial role in providing high-quality health services to communities.

The Courier will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and delivery of pathology samples, specimens, blood/blood products X-rays, vaccines, and clinical waste to and from referring customers.

">

Liaison between referring medical practitioners and the medical liaison officer regarding store orders is also a critical aspect of this role.

">

In addition, the Courier will prepare and deliver reports and maintain stock control in the main laboratory.

">

Patient confidentiality and integrity are paramount, and the Courier must adhere to operating procedures to ensure accurate specimen coding documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick-up and delivery of pathology samples and specimens.">
  • Liaising between medical practitioners and the medical liaison officer.">
  • Preparing and delivering reports and maintaining stock control.">
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and integrity.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Australian driver's license with an excellent driving record.">
  • Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.">
  • Great interpersonal skills to liaise with different stakeholders.">
  • Excellent time management skills, juggling up to 30 stops per day.">
  • Physical capability to handle equipment weighing regularly up to 10kg - 15kg.">
