About the Role

Aptella is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join their team in Balcatta, WA. This full-time permanent role requires a high level of personal responsibility and autonomy to deliver quality services that maintain a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Installation and Repair: Onsite and workshop-based installations of machine control systems and equipment, ensuring high-quality results and customer satisfaction.
  • Calibration and Commissioning: Calibration and commissioning of machine systems and attachments to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Troubleshooting, problem-solving, and providing technical support to customers, both onsite and remotely.
  • Servicing and Maintenance: Regular servicing and maintenance of equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.
  • Customer Training: Providing training to customers on the use and maintenance of equipment, ensuring they are fully equipped to operate and maintain their machines.
About You

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Field Service Technician with:

  • Trade Qualifications: Auto Electrician, Heavy Diesel Mechanic, or Light Vehicle Mechanic qualifications highly regarded.
  • Excellent Communication and Organisational Skills: Strong communication and organisational skills to effectively manage customer relationships and expectations.
  • Mechanical Aptitude and Fabrication Skills: Mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills to work with a variety of equipment and systems.
  • Understanding of Electrical and Hydraulic Systems: A solid understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.
  • Ability to Build Customer Relationships: Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Strong Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
  • Goal-Oriented and Performance-Driven: A goal-oriented and performance-driven individual who consistently delivers high-quality results.
  • Sound Computer Skills: Sound computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications to manage tasks and communicate with customers.
  • Professionalism and Positive Attitude: A professional and positive attitude, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Autonomy and Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to work autonomously and troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
Requirements
  • Driver's Licence: A valid driver's licence is required for this role.
Desirable
  • Experience with Heavy Equipment Repairs: Experience with heavy equipment mechanical repairs and maintenance highly regarded.
  • Experience with Auto Electrical Repairs: Experience with auto electrical repairs and maintenance highly regarded.
  • Experience with Mobile Plant Hydraulic Systems: Experience with mobile plant hydraulic systems highly regarded.
  • Experience with Machine Control Systems: Experience with installing and maintaining machine control systems highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of Surveying Practices: A knowledge of surveying practices, techniques, and concepts highly regarded.
