About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Contract Management Specialist to join our team in Bellevue, WA. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and proactive contract management and risk mitigation strategies, aligning with Alstom's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply contract, claims, and insurance management principles and Alstom governance to ensure meticulous record-keeping and robust file preparation for the project.
  • Collaborate with the core project team to prepare the Contract Management Strategy Plan.
  • Analyse the contract to build and drive the implementation of the contract and claims management strategy plan, continuously updating it on an ongoing basis with the project team.
  • Monitor work to ensure compliance with contract obligations, including tracking the project schedule to meet contractual milestones.
  • Issue contractual notices to customers and partners in a timely manner.
  • Establish and implement project-specific commercial procedures, particularly regarding correspondence, notifications, insurance, variation requests/orders, and claims preparation.
  • Monitor and manage correspondence by analysing incoming and outgoing communications with customers and partners.
  • Develop and produce project-specific processes and methods for contract/claim management.
  • Anticipate events and risks associated with contract management activities and propose alternative proactive solutions to maintain control.
  • Develop a pragmatic commercial approach based on contractual analysis to protect Alstom's interests with customers and partners.
  • Work closely with the project team to identify and mitigate risks, and to identify, maximize, and leverage claim opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary degree in Law, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
  • Extensive experience in contract and claims management in the delivery of railway, infrastructure, or construction projects.
  • Ability to anticipate and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Contract Management and Project Management tools and systems.
  • Capability to be operationally effective and accountable.
