About Us

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Asphalt Quality Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting soil testing, nuclear density testing, and densometer testing on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct soil testing, nuclear density testing, and densometer testing on-site to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Perform quality checks on asphalt, aggregates, and basecourse materials to confirm their suitability for construction projects.
  • Analyse and interpret test results, identifying trends and potential quality risks.
  • Monitor the impact of construction machinery (e.g. rollers, compactors) on soil and asphalt layers.
  • Provide technical feedback to supervisors and project managers on compaction and surface outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and prepare clear daily reports.
  • Ensure all testing is performed in line with Australian Standards / project specifications and safety requirements.

About You:

  • Previous experience in asphalt or soil testing within construction or civil projects.
  • Competent in the use of nuclear density gauges, densometers, and other field testing equipment.
  • Solid understanding of compaction theory and the interaction between machinery and ground surfaces.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail.
  • Safety-conscious and able to work independently on-site.
