About the Role

Vault Minerals is seeking a skilled Geology Technician to join our team at the Daisy Milano core processing facility in Kalgoorlie. As a key member of our geological team, you will play a vital role in processing diamond drill core and supporting the Senior Mine Geologist in ensuring accurate data capture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and organized core processing facility, ensuring a secure work environment and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Assist with core handling and processing, including core photos, metre marking, orientation, core cutting, RQD, specific gravity measurements, and sample preparation for assay laboratories.
  • Conduct regular stocktakes of drilling and coreyard consumables, labeling, organizing, and maintaining all materials.
  • Support sampling of parcel feeds at the Mill as required.
  • Upload sampling data, RQD, and specific gravity measurement data to the database server, ensuring accurate storage of core photographs on the network.
  • Monitor and report on issues with core quality and presentation from diamond drilling contractors.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by your supervisor.
  • Deliver daily samples to the Kalgoorlie Laboratory.
About You

We are looking for a hardworking individual with excellent organizational and record-keeping skills, who can work autonomously and effectively engage with people at all literacy levels. You should possess a strong work ethic, be adaptable, and lead by example in relation to safety.

Desirable skills include good analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work in physically demanding environments, and adaptability to varying weather conditions. A valid Fork Lift license is also desirable but not a primary requirement.
