The Mackay Base Hospital is a leading healthcare provider in regional Queensland, offering a range of medical and surgical services, including intensive care. The hospital has undergone significant redevelopment, with a new wing and state-of-the-art facilities.
The Intensive Care Unit provides 16 intensive care beds to adult and paediatric patients, with a diverse case mix and a strong focus on patient care and outcomes. The unit has an established leadership team and a well-resourced medical and nursing workforce.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, applicants should be registered as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and hold Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (FCICM) or equivalent.
