Job Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity to excel as an Electrical Technician in our Water Operations team.

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused electrician to specialise in electrical switchboards, motors, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support our Water Management and Treatment (WMAT) and Water Operations (WOP) teams.

  • Maintain and update data within the planned maintenance system, including schedules, procedures, work history, and parts usage.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on the operation and maintenance of electrical assets.
  • Support and maintain Telemetry, SCADA, and instrumentation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Specialise in electrical switchboards, motors, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  2. Support the Water Management and Treatment (WMAT) and Water Operations (WOP) teams.
  3. Maintain and update data within the planned maintenance system.
  4. Provide training and guidance to staff.
  5. Support and maintain Telemetry, SCADA, and instrumentation systems.
Requirements
  • Educational qualification: Electrical Trade Certificate and a Contractor Licence and/or Qualified Supervisors Certificate (Electrician).
  • Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in the water industry or a related process-driven environment.
  • Detailed knowledge of instrumentation and switchboards, large motors, variable speed drives (VSDs), high voltage systems, PLCs, SCADA systems, radio telemetry, and condition-based monitoring.
