Job Opportunity: Boilermaker and Welder

We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker and Welder to join our team at BAE Systems Australia. As a key member of our Production Team, you will play a critical role in the construction of complex Anti-Submarine Warfare Frigates.

About the Role

As a Boilermaker and Welder, you will be responsible for undertaking tasks and duties as directed by Production Supervision and Trades Trainers. This will include attending and completing relevant on-the-job training, properly maintaining materials, tools, and equipment, and striving to continuously improve teamwork, processes, and effectiveness in the work area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake tasks and duties as directed by Production Supervision and Trades Trainers within bounds of current competence.
  • Attend and complete relevant on-the-job training as required.
  • Properly maintain materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Strive to continuously improve teamwork, processes, and effectiveness in the work area.
  • Adhere to BAE Maritime Australia policies and management practices.
About You

We are looking for an individual with experience in fabrication with MIG or Flux Core Welding, the ability to read drawings, a strong safety focus, and excellent communication skills. As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances.
