About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at Palmerston Dental Surgery. As a key member of our practice, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients through excellent customer service
  • Prepare patients and facilities for dental treatment, ensuring a safe and efficient environment
  • Deliver high-quality chairside assistance to our dentists, prioritizing patient comfort and care
  • Provide instrument sterilization and infection control solutions, adhering to strict standards and procedures
  • Maintain and implement infection control protocols, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment
  • Assist with patient care from entry to the surgery, including recall management and communication
Requirements
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum 1+ years' experience in dental assisting, with a strong understanding of infection control and patient care
  • Cert III in Dental Assisting is highly desirable
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and patient care
  • Efficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • A proven track record of punctuality and reliability, with a 'can-do' attitude
