Job Description

The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of tasks across project activities from planning, coordinating and supervising daily activities of work crews, ensuring compliance with internal, client and legislative SHMS requirements through to ensuring that the quality production and environmental requirements of the project are met.

Key responsibilities include:

  • scheduling and coordinating mechanical maintenance activities and inspections;
  • complying with Safety Health Management System, Coal Mining Legislation, Engineering Standards at Maxwell Bord and Pillar Underground Operation;
  • contributing to maintenance strategies to minimise electrical costs, maximise equipment availability;

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering quality services to our business partners.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • a proven experience in scheduling and coordinating mechanical maintenance activities and inspections;
  • the ability to comply with Safety Health Management System, Coal Mining Legislation, Engineering Standards at Maxwell Bord and Pillar Underground Operation;
  • a strong work ethic with a great attendance record;
  • the ability to comply with site procedures, instructions, and equipment specifications and limitations to ensure effective and safe use of equipment;
  • demonstrated Underground Coal experience in a similar role;
  • Relevant Trade Certificate along with DES, Brake Testing; G1, G8, G9 and G2 Qualification must also be current.
