Position Overview
The Maintenance division at GFG Alliance is seeking a qualified Electrical Tradesperson to enhance our operations. We are particularly interested in candidates with a background in commercial electrical work who are eager to transition into an industrial setting.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute assigned repair and preventive maintenance tasks safely, efficiently, and professionally.
- Conduct troubleshooting and fault diagnosis on electrical systems, electronics, instrumentation, and communication devices.
- Ensure all workspaces are maintained in a safe and organized manner.
- Actively participate in front-line problem-solving efforts and initiatives.
We have two shifts available for this role: one in the afternoon from 4 PM to midnight, and another during the night from midnight to 8 AM.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Possession of an Electrical Trade qualification and a current A-grade electrical license.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proven experience in diagnosing electrical failures and identifying root causes within a heavy industrial manufacturing context.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in computer applications.
- Post-trade certification (Cert IV) is highly valued.
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) certification is a plus.
