About NACCHO Australia
NACCHO Australia is the national peak body representing 146 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHSs) across the country.
These services provide comprehensive primary healthcare to over half of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples nationwide, addressing health and wellbeing holistically from community empowerment to individual treatments.
NACCHO advocates for ACCHOs by working with governments and stakeholders on healthcare policies, programs, and system reforms.
This role will work closely with the Director, Immunisations, and broader Immunisation team to ensure seamless advice and support is provided to the Sector regarding immunisation priorities.
The National Immunisation Coordinator will lead the development and delivery of a national immunisation training and education program.
The position will also work closely with NACCHO Affiliates to support the ACCHO Sector's access to immunisation training to increase the workforce's capacity to deliver immunisations and increase national immunisation rates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver national immunisation training and education program.
- Maintain service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the immunisation training being delivered.
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting immunisation practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Work in collaboration with stakeholders in the Sector, including ACCHSs, affiliates, peak bodies and government.
