Job Title: Vehicle Inspector

The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring stock movements, ensuring all relevant documentation is accurate and up-to-date. They will also be expected to maintain a high level of customer service, liaising with customers and tow truck drivers regarding the delivery and pickup of vehicles.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor stock departures and deliveries from the gatehouse.
  • Control public access to our facilities.
  • Liaise with customers and tow truck drivers regarding the delivery and pickup of vehicles.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation relating to the movement of assets is correct prior to release.
  • Partner with other departments in relation to incoming and outgoing stock movements.
  • Perform stock take and pre-booking tasks as required.
  • Identify and photograph any damage.
  • Identify standard and extra accessories.
  • Meet assigned KPIs for inspections.
  • Locate and move vehicles to the correct locations for storage.
  • FOLLOW ALL SAFETY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to be flexible, adaptable and resilient.
  • Ability to update and maintain customer records using a database.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised.
  • Ability to use an iPad and take quality photographs.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and maintain quality standards.
  • A basic knowledge of motor vehicles or the industry would be an advantage.
  • A current and valid manual driver's license.
