The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to lead the development and execution of our Identity Roadmap, focusing on Identity and Access Management (IDAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM). As a key member of our Cyber Engineering team, you will design comprehensive identity strategies, ensure secure access to critical systems, and safeguard sensitive information while collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the implementation of information security strategic and tactical plans.
  • Act as a point of contact within the organization for members of staff, regulators, and any relevant public bodies on issues related to Information Security.
  • Engineering, implementing, and monitoring security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
  • Identifying and defining system security requirements.
  • Reviewing security engineering investigations/assessments in compliance with Government standards (ISM, ASD guidelines, NIST, ISO etc.).
  • Promote a culture of security compliance across all units of the organization.
  • Designing computer security architecture and developing detailed cyber security designs.
  • Reviewing existing processes and security controls, assess and improve existing processes and procedures in a very agile and fast-moving IT environment.
  • Liaise with other organizations for security assessments.
  • Perform audits and determine whether we need to alter our procedures to comply with regulations.
  • Assess existing security issues within the organization.
  • Analyzing risks and conducting ongoing security assessments.
  • Investigate breaches and implement plans of incident response.
  • Continually develop internal security policies for the organization.
  • Policy tuning of IPS/IDS/WAF devices, in line with network and application requirements.
  • Recommend further development to keep the organization in line with security best practice and on top of industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Active Directory or Azure AD.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS (Amazon Web Services) Security Services.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Security Services.
  • Strong understanding of Network Security Groups and Application Security Group configuration
  • Proven work experience as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer.
  • Experience in building and maintaining security systems.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security.
  • Hands on experience in security systems such as IDS/IPS, Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Security Event Correlation and EDR.
  • Strong PAM and IDAM experience (Beyond Trust and Okta desired).
  • Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools. SD-WAN + SASE desired but not essential.
  • Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols. (ASD Essential 8, ISM, ISO 27001 and NIST).
  • Experience in Infrastructure, Platform and Application Security.
  • Demonstrated experience of Cloud security practices (Azure and/or AWS).
  • Experience building security response playbooks.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CEH or CISM desired.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive and confidential information.
