The opportunity:

Our Fleet Services team plays a crucial role in maintaining this success by ensuring our vehicles remain in optimum condition through top-quality maintenance and repairs.

To support our operations in Cairns, we are seeking qualified Heavy Vehicle Technicians who would like to join our tight-knit team and contribute to Kinetic's growth journey.

Our technicians get a great variety of meaningful work across several vehicle makes and models, from general maintenance and repair tasks through to major engine component rebuilds. We also focus heavily on investing in our dedicated employees and have introduced an electric vehicle upskill program to help them become dual-trade qualified (Diesel & Electric) and set them up for long-term success.

The skills and qualifications you'll bring:

  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
  • Opportunity to upskill from Light Vehicle to Heavy Vehicle technician
  • Previous experience in providing maintenance and repairs to heavy commercial fleet
  • Minimum MR license (HR license or above preferred but not essential)
  • Exposure to diagnostics via computer-controlled systems is a bonus

Estimated annual salary: $80,000 - $110,000 based on location and experience.
