Sustainable Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Procurement Officer to join our Finance and Procurement team at Banyule City Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in promoting sustainable procurement practices and developing a framework for sustainable procurement across the organization.

• Assist in the development and implementation of a sustainable procurement framework for Council.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainable procurement practices and educate staff on social and environmental procurement initiatives.
• Conduct analysis of Banyule's spending categories to identify opportunities for sustainable procurement sourcing decisions.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and controlled documents related to sustainable procurement.
• Monitor performance and measure achievements towards identified sustainable KPIs and timelines.

• Relevant experience in ESG or procurement practices is an advantage.
• Understanding of sustainability, aggregated procurement, and agency arrangements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
